Seize the Day!
Bring your family and friends to celebrate the triumph of the human spirit with Seize the Day! A young man’s coming of age story in Harlem is told using the poetry of Langston Hughes set to a world premiere commission by Ricky Ian Gordon. Rousing Broadway music from Pippin’ and Newsies tell stories of courage and optimism. Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Pippin) uses lyrics from the It Gets Better project in his inspirational piece Testimony. The Boston Gay Men’s Chorus’s acclaimed high school outreach comes to life as the chorus is joined on stage by Wellesley High School’s choirs “Keynotes” and “The Rice Street Singers.” Don’t miss 225 singers on stage!
