You play an important role in helping us achieve our vision. Ticket sales only cover half of our operating expenses, so charitable donations from people like you are crucial to the existence of the BGMC.
Your financial support allows us to sing beautifully, perform in great concert halls and theaters, present guest artists and choruses, serve our community, tour to new places, and support our volunteer members. Your gift — in whatever amount is appropriate for you — is greatly appreciated. The power of our voices will amplify the value of your gift many times over, helping to create a world that values its gay and lesbian citizens.
Bay State Performing Arts Inc, d/b/a Boston Gay Men’s Chorus, is a 501(c)(3) not for profit arts organization, meaning that your donation is tax deductible as allowed by state and federal law.
Encore Circle
Individuals and couples who make an annual donation to the BGMC of $250 or more become members of our Encore Circle, an honorary society of our most generous supporters. These gifts are an investment in our future and help foster our continued artistic excellence and ability to communicate a positive image of the gay and lesbian community. Our Encore Circle members enjoy access to priority seating, exclusive invitations to concert receptions and special events, and special program recognition.
Director: $250 and up
Conductor: $500 and up
Producer: $1,000 and up
Executive Producer: $2,500 and up
Diva: $5,000 and up
You may choose to pay your Encore level donation in 12 automated monthly payments to your credit card.
Other Contribution Options
If you prefer not to donate via our secure website, you may call our office at 617-542-7464 or mail a check to our office at BGMC, 95 Berkeley Street, Suite 410, Boston, MA 02116. If you would like to donate in an amount that is different from our pull down menu, please call our office to make your gift. All contributions are gratefully received.
Gifts of Stock
The BGMC is able to accept gifts of stock, bonds, EFTs, and mutual funds. Please contact your financial advisor to find out how these types of gifts may benefit you. For example, a gift of stock owned for more than one year entitles you to a charitable deduction for the full market value at the time the gift is made. Your gift of stock may provide an opportunity for tax savings while generously supporting our organization.
If you would like to discuss a gift of stock or other appreciated securities, please contact the BGMC office for more information and for the appropriate forms to facilitate transfering your gift.
Matching Gifts
If you work for a company that matches employee gifts to cultural organizations, your donation might be doubled. If you already have a matching gift form or web application, please follow the instructions, fill it out and return it to us. If you don’t know if your company has a matching gift policy, check with your Human Resources department.
