Freedom, Merriment & Joy — Also visit our digital library!

Freedom, Merriment, & Joy was recorded live at the December, 1995 holiday concerts in newly restored Jordan Hall, it contains a number of fun and lively holiday tunes. Two songs recorded in January, 1994, “Welcome! Sing, Be Merry!” and the title “Freedom, Merriment, & Joy,” are nestled among favorites such as “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” (arranged by Bay Statesmen director John O’Neil) and “White Christmas.” For the classically minded, there’s the Chorus’ rendition of Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s “Magnificat.” The irrepressible Bay Statesmen contributed a wonderful rendition of “Who Will Buy?” from Oliver. Our own Chad Weirick arranged the two medleys as well as the fully orchestrated audience sing-along. Are you on the recording?
We’re sorry but Freedom, Merriment & Joy
is no longer in print.
